Climate Council
The Climate Council is currently focused on COP, the sector’s transition to net zero, the role of tech in supporting other sectors in transitioning to net zero and the sector’s preparedness for future.
Digital Devices Environment Group
The Digital Device Environment Group is the forum for techUK members responsible for the environmental management of digital devices being sold on the UK market. It is focused on the circular economy (reuse, remanufacture, repair of devices), eco-design, energy labelling, the circular economy and the sound management of devices once they become waste.
ESG Marketing Forum
This new forum is for techUK members to understand how to communicate their ESG (environmental, social and governance) credentials in an authentic, credible way.
Responsible Business Conduct Group
techUK’s responsible business conduct group monitors the best practice, emerging issues and the evolving policy framework around responsible business conduct, with a particular focus on human rights and environmental supply chain due diligence, ESG reporting, international labour laws and responsible sourcing of materials and minerals.
Sustainability Strategy Forum
A forum looking at broad sustainability topics and for members to come together to discuss how they are factoring in ‘sustainability’ into their operations and decision-making.
Tech Nature and Biodiversity Group
The Tech Nature and Biodiversity Group explores strategies for incorporating biodiversity and nature risks into corporate practices, as well as looks at how technology can be used to prevent and measure biodiversity loss.
Net Zero: techUK joins climate action campaign Race to Zero
techUK has signed up to the SME Race to Zero track via the SME Climate Hub, and will take immediate action to half emissions by 2030, achieve net zero before 2050 and disclose progress on a yearly basis. We encourage our members to get involved.
