Up first, Tom explores the future of cloud adoption and deployment in the public sector with Mark Palmer, Head of Public Sector and Life Sciences at Google UK & Ireland. The conversation touches on cost factors, impact assessments and the investment case for cloud, the visualization and management of different cloud-based systems and guidance for cloud procurement in the public sector.
Following on from this discussion, Tom interviews Sian John MBE- EMEA and APJ Director for Cybersecurity Strategy at Microsoft- to learn more about the security dimensions of cloud. Sian provides insights on security threats and trust in cloud services, cyber awareness and security-related skills, as well as, secure cloud adoption strategies.
Finally, Tom meets with Karen Dewar- Vice President of IBM’s Cloud and Cognitive Software Technical Executive- to talk about recent technological advancements in cloud computing, technical expertise in cloud computing and effective risk management strategies for utilizing cloud-based solutions.
