From 12 - 15 October, techUK is hosting a campaign on the application of emerging tech in the energy and water sectors! Read the latest news and insights below.

Technology trends are rapidly changing in a data driven economy. Both sectors are seeing a fast paced change to digitalisation. Our campaign week will explore the next generation of technologies and uncover our members' great work in this space.

We are not only interested in technology already applied in the field but also what is the potential for it being applied (if not yet) in the utilities sector, and what do the energy and water sectors must do in order to benefit from such technologies.

The technologies we are looking at are:

  • Edge computing.

  • Transition to the cloud.

  • Drones – for data capture and information.

  • Geospatial data.

  • Quantum computing applications for sustainability.

  • Blockchain.
