At techUK, we have six programmes focusing on different parts of the public sector. We lead the debate on new technologies and provide a forum for government to engage with tech suppliers. In this session, we'll take members through what we do in this area and how to get involved from market engagement events, influencing policy, or getting the inside track on industry developments.

Our public sector programmes cover the following areas:

  • Central Government
  • Local Government
  • Health and Social Care
  • Defence
  • National Security
  • Justice and Emergency Services

In this session we will provide an overview of the programmes and how techUK's public sector activity can provide you with following:

  • Industry access - We facilitate market engagement sessions with all the major Whitehall Departments based on upcoming procurement opportunities and allows members to network with a view to developing effective partnerships for public sector bids.
  • Inside Track - We hold regular departmental briefings which allow members to have sight of departmental objectives and strategies. We share market analysis of government tech spend, and insights on important policies like the Procurement Bill.
  • Influence Policy - We work with the public sector to evangelise the use of technology for addressing challenges. We try to improve how government buys technology, ensuring that procurement is easy and friction-free.
  • Impact Performance - Our member-only supplier days help members to interact with government departments and to understand their strategic objectives and needs as a customer.

Who should attend?

If you already operating in the public sector, or just interested in the potential opportunities from public procurement, this session is a one-stop shop covering key opportunities, events, and insights available to techUK members. Expect to leave the session armed with up-to-date knowledge on all the benefits that techUK membership can offer you and your organisation.
