Join us at the 2024 UK-China Tech Forum for panels, presentations, and networking!

Background

Co-organised by techUK and China Britain Business Council, the UK-China Tech Forum is designed to facilitate engagement between technology companies and key stakeholders from both government and industry in the UK and China.

This platform provides a unique opportunity to explore the critical issues shaping the future of technology collaboration between these two major global economies.

The Forum will offer insights into public policy, market trends, investment landscapes, and industrial shifts in both the UK and China, as well as provide insights into China’s technological ambitions and innovations. The Forum will aim to help stakeholders navigate the evolving tech ecosystems.

Importance

The UK remains a global technology leader and one of Europe’s top destinations for tech investment, while China continues to rise as a dominant force in technology innovation and adoption, with its digital economy expected to significantly contribute to GDP by 2025.

Although the geopolitical context presents challenges, there are still numerous opportunities for trade, investment, and collaboration between the UK and China in non-politically sensitive areas of technology. Understanding the regulatory, political, and market dynamics will be essential for businesses seeking to thrive in these markets.
