techUK Cyber Security Week 2022 #Cyber2022
This year’s campaign week centres around the five strategic pillars of the National Cyber Strategy, which was published in December 2021 and sets out how the UK will solidify its position as a global cyber power. Each day, through articles and case studies, our members will explore some of the key themes outlined in one of the pillars of the Strategy.
The themes for the week are as follows:
1. Strengthening the UK cyber ecosystem
Exploring the structures, partnerships and networks needed to support a whole-of-society approach to cyber; enhancing and expanding the nation’s cyber skills; and fostering the growth of a competitive cyber sector.
2. Building a resilient and prosperous digital UK
Improving the understanding of cyber risk to prevent and resist cyber attacks more effectively, and strengthening cyber resilience at national and organisational level.
3. Taking the lead in technologies vital to cyber power
Taking a closer look at a variety of existing and emerging technologies will be critical to the UK’s cyber power.
4. Advancing global leadership and influence
Ensuring that the UK cyber industry is the ‘go-to’ provider of cyber solutions for foreign government and major commercial clients.
5. Detecting, disrupting and deterring adversaries
Delving into what’s being done to anticipate and tackle cyber threats which have grown in sophistication, complexity and severity.
