The Satellite Applications Catapult is an elite technology and innovation company which exists to grow the UK space sector and, as satellite applications become increasingly fundamental to many sectors, to grow the UK economy.
Our work is focussed on three areas:
Increasing Market Adoption – we stimulate market demand for satellite services by bringing together suppliers and end-users in sectors like financial services, communications and agriculture where satellites can make a real difference.
Business Support – we support businesses in the sector directly with access to facilities, technical experts and help with starting, commercialising and scaling-up a business
Collaborative Projects and Programmes – we play key roles in collaborative and commercial R&D projects, often taking risks which other companies are not able or willing to do.
We do this across three missions. These represent areas of great opportunity for the UK space sector and wider UK economy, areas where we have existing UK expertise and strong academic and commercial capability, and where the Catapult can play a clear role in solving the most immediate or pressing challenges.

Margot Stumm
Margot joined techUK in September 2022 as the Head of Events and Sponsorship, running the event programme for our flagship events, such as the techUK Annual Dinner, Defence Ethics Summit, Building the Smarter State etc
Prior to this role, Margot managed events and external affairs for the Centre for Policy Studies, a political think tank in Westminster and also worked at the D Group, a London-based business membership organisation, where she was responsible for the events programme, account management and business strategy.
She holds a BA in Technical Translation in English, French and Spanish from Paris 7 - Denis Diderot and a MA in International Relations from the London Metropolitan University.
Outside of work, she enjoys travelling, going to concerts and snowboarding.
